FOR CHOCOLATE LOVERS ONLY

Teacher Page

Introduction

Do you like chocolate as much as most of your students?  Chocolate is an interesting subject for most students. Many students, teachers and other adults do not know where chocolate comes from.  So explore this unit with your students.  Warning: you may need a bag of chocolate handy!

You will also be able to think of many extensions for this WebQuest, i.e. map activity of the location of rainforests or countries producing chocolate, compare/contrast the life of the child on a chocolate plantation to the American child’s life.

Note: This WebQuest links to video clips requiring Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, if you do not have access to this it can be viewed in a printable version.

You may need to help your students print their graphic organizers.
