Weather and Agriculture
Weather affects our lives everyday. Ask students to listen to the weather report for several days to find out about the weather each day. Encourage them to think about how the weather is affecting their food or the clothes they will wear. It is true, weather is important to agriculture. Unfortunately many children assume that the weather is always sunny and warm on the farm because many children's books show farms and farm animals with the sun shining brightly. It is important that students realize that agriculture products require a diversity of weather to produce the food we eat and clothing we wear. Agriculture requires weather changes and the march of seasons to produce food products. The purpose of this WebQuest is to help students realize the relationship between weather and agriculture.
