District 3 Board Member
Years with Missouri Farm Bureau: 38, 37 of those as a volunteer
My brothers and I are fifth-generation farmers growing corn, soybeans and cattle in Cole and Callaway counties. My work with Farm Bureau began shortly after I returned home from college; Dr. Merrill Townley encouraged me to get involved with Cole County Farm Bureau. After serving on the county board for 30 some years (20+ as president) I felt it was time to grow my commitment to the next level and run for a state board position.
In addition to the benefits enjoyed by all Farm Bureau members, I have been able to practice leadership skills and participate in a grass roots process that truly does make a difference. Involvement in Farm Bureau has been rewarding in many ways, but I think that the great people we’ve met and the friendships we’ve found are what I cherish most.
