Statement by Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst Regarding Omnibus Spending Package

“Missouri Farm Bureau is extremely pleased with the passage of the omnibus spending package. It is refreshing to see our Congressional leaders agree on a bill that provides needed certainty for our farmers, ranchers and rural communities. The bill reauthorizes the Secure Rural Schools Act, eliminates the unnecessary requirement for farms to report animal emissions under the EPA’s Superfund law and provides critical funding for nationwide rural broadband mapping and deployment. These provisions, together with additional time to address issues associated with Electronic Logging Devices, are positive for MOFB members. We appreciate the work of our Congressional delegation in crafting and passing this important legislation.”
