DAIRY CONSUMPTION LOG & REFLECTION SCORING GUIDE

Advanced - The log is complete with daily entries that include the type and amount of dairy products consumed. The reflection is written in an organized manner that states why the learner chooses to or to not consume dairy products. The reflection is summarized in detail by stating what the learner feels would increase their dairy consumption.

Proficient - The log is complete with daily entries but lacks minor details. The reflection is organized but does not fully explain why the learner does or does not like to consume dairy products. The summary lacks supporting details but generally outlines a strategy for increasing dairy consumption.

Nearing Proficient - The log is mostly complete with major details lacking no more that one day. The reflection is somewhat organized and explains only to a limited extent the learner’s choices regarding dairy products. The summary lacks supporting details and fails to outline a strategy for increasing dairy consumption.

Advancing - The log is missing two or more days. The reflection is rather unorganized. The summary lacks focus details and strategies and is generally ineffective.

Advanced - The presentation is very neat, well organized and presented on either poster board or Power Point. The promotional campaign includes: an original catchy slogan, ideas for radio, television and print ads. The print ads utilize attractive color photos and graphics. The presenter exhibits thorough preparation, sound explanations and good speaking skills.

Proficient - The presentation is neat, organized and presented on either poster board or Power Point. The promotional campaign includes: an original catchy slogan, ideas for radio, television and print ads, however, the ideas may be somewhat incomplete or underdeveloped. The print ads are organized but to some degree under utilize attractive color photos and graphics. The presenter exhibits sound preparation, good explanations and fair speaking skills.

Nearing Proficient - The presentation is presented on either poster board or Power Point but is somewhat disorganized. The promotional campaign is missing no more than one of the following: an original catchy slogan, ideas for radio, television and print ads. The print ads are mostly organized but under utilize attractive color photos and graphics. The presenter exhibits only modest preparation, underdeveloped explanations and fair speaking skills.

Step 1 - The presentation is very disorganized and/or is missing two or more key elements. The learner displays lack of preparation or concern and cannot respond to thoughtful questions regarding the assignment.
